Land Management Practices (Cropping History) in the Border Rivers-Gwydir & Namoi CMA (1998-2008)

Land Management Practices for the Border Rivers-Gwydir and Namoi Catchment Management Authority (CMA) Areas in northern New South Wales. This dataset includes a base map of paddock boundaries (and paddock scale object) attributed with cropping history and other land cover information. This product builds on and finalises older cropping history mapping which involved the manual digitisation of crop paddock boundaries. This work was extended across the full extent of the two catchments using object recognitions software -'Definiens'. Polygons where attributed for presence of cropping for summer and winter cropping cycles between 1998 and 2008, as we as for other land cover and land management types.; Report: Fisher, A. & Turner. (2009). Mapping candidate native non-woody vegetation extent for the Border Rivers-Gwydir-Namoi catchments, northern New South Wales. Department of Environment, Climate Change & Water. unpublished.; ; Scale is commensurate with recommended map scale of cropping paddock boundaries (1:100,000). Polygons produced via image segmentation are of finer scale.
