Ku-ring-gai doesn’t have any large rivers and floodplain areas where mainstream flooding can be extensive and recurring but ridge-top development and the steep nature of Ku-ring-gai’s landscape mean that overland flows and flash flooding of smaller creeks is a real problem in some areas.

Blackbutt Creek Flood Risk Management Study & Plan and Lovers Jump Creek Catchment are available at http://www.kmc.nsw.gov.au/Current_projects_priorities/Key_priorities/Environment_sustainability/Water/Water_management/Flood_risk_management
